These collection of short stories, independently published by Ruth Rumack's Learning Space, follow the adventures of mountainous and woodland creatures in a simplified sequential comic-like narrative for beginner and young readers. The collection of Sight Word Stories have over 10 stories within each book. Each story highlights a specific collection of "sight words", words that are the most frequently used words in the English language. At the end of each story are a collection of fun activities to help test the reader's comprehension and phonological skill level.

The Yak Pack: Comics & Phonics collection is another independently published book series by Ruth Rumack's Learning Space. Enjoy the same mountainous and woodland creatures in a simplified graphic novel format for young readers of all ages! These books contain a collection of short stories that focus on a critical sounds, beginning with the short vowel sounds. These stories are built to encourage independent reading as they include simple sight words plus "decodable" words that can be fully sounded out. Similar to the Sight Word Stories collection, these books also contain fun comprehension and reinforcement activities at the end of each story.

ALPHA-MANIA ADVENTURES

Alpha-Mania Adventures is an independently published five-book series by Ruth Rumack's Learning Space starring five adventurous kids known as the Alpha-Maniacs. In each book, the Alpha-Maniacs embark on an exciting quest based on one of five different phonological awareness skills: rhyming, blending, alliteration, segmenting, and manipulating sounds within words. Jalisa joined as the illustrator for the Alpha-Mania Adventures series during the production of the third book as the first two books had already been illustrated. Jalisa had tried to maintain the integrity of the original illustrator's designs and illustrative style, but her own personal flair shone through and eventually her style grew throughout the rest of the series and carried through to her re-illustrations of books one and two. The cover and interior graphic design of the Alpha-Mania Adventures series were completed by Kathleen Fasciano.
